Has the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society said that their bible is wrong?

The most notable contradiction, perhaps, is the fact that, in the New World Translation, Isaiah 44:6 refers to Jehovah as "the first and the last" and Revelation 1:17 refers to Jesus as "the first and the last." Yet the official position of the Watchtower is that Jesus is not God. Can there be more than one "the first and the last"?
