Madeline McCain..her parents are they good people?

Two doctors go away on holiday and leave their young children alone in a hotel room while they go away with friends in a restaurant a good distance away? What kind of nitwits are they and why are they still permitted to have their other child? In my books the everyday parent would loose their parental rights if they left their children alone to fend for themselves. Then they were taking donations to pay off their MORTGAGE... are they guilty? I believe they are low lifes.
